AUTODESK VRED 2016 Tutorial

 

 

1. Data Preparation

This part of the tutorial includes the following tasks:

    1. Importing the CAD geometry.
    2. Setting the vertical upper axis.
    3. Adding group nodes to the VRED scene graph.
    4. Renaming nodes in the VRED scene graph.
    5. Organising the VRED scene graph to represent an assembly structure.
    6. Checking and correcting surface normal directions.

2. Applying Material Shaders

This part of the tutorial includes the following tasks:

    1. Defining a china material shader for cup and saucer.
    2. Defining a chrome material shader for the spoon.
    3. Applying the material shaders to the geometry.

3. Working with Textures

This part of the tutorial includes the following tasks:

    1. Adding a texture file to a material shader for the coffee surface.
    2. Adding a bump structure to the coffee surface.
    3. Adding a texture file to a material shader for the illy logo.
    4. Mapping the illy logo to the cup surface.
